During the fall of 2006 I purchased a Vermontana from Kingdom Knives in Lyndonville Vermont.
I was fortunate enough to recieve a moose permit and harvest a bull moose. The first test was the field dressing of the moose and the knife work flawlessly.
During muzzleloading season I was fortunate to harvest a buck and used the Vermontana to do the field dressing. After completing the moose and deer the blade was still very sharp.
The real test came a few days later when a close friend havested her first buck. She wanted to do the field dressing herself and use my Vermontana. While field dressing she remarked how sharp it was. This was after field dressing the other two animal and not having the blade resharpened.
The blade was still sharp and could have field dressed many more animals.
I have a philosophy that I will share.
Ask yourself "How much did you pay for your rifle and scope?" Yes you carry them during the season but how much did you actually use them?
I feel the same about the knife I carry. I not only carried and used the knife during the seasons, but I carry and use it throughout the year.
It is the best blade made that I am aware of. The quality is exceptional and best of all, it is made here in Vermont and warranted for life except for loss.
This knife will serve me well and I will be able to pass it on to future generations.
